Additionally you can use dropbox android and keepassx to get access to the password file on android. What I do is "export" from keepass 2.x on my windows to the same dropbox folder but export to an older .kdb file. the .kdb file can be opened on my android and then i can copy and paste the long passowrds there as well. I have not tried a ctrl-a shortcut there.

Re: Apple doesn’t care about making computers anymore

They don't even monitor their user forums anymore! I've been having trouble with thier COMPRESSOR program and I can't get help from any of their "GENIUSES". I'm thinking carefully about switching to Avid, at least they support their users!

Re: Dropbox & KeePass: The perfect cross-platform password management system

I have been a fan of dropbox for some time now, and I also have 1Password on my Mac - which is great! I always keep a html version of my 1Password database in my dropbox so I can use a browser to see my passwords. Now I am using KeePass on my windows XP machine and store my *kdb file in my dropbox. I use KeePassX on my Mac now and it opens the same kdb file so now my passwords are in sync! KeePassX doesn't have the functionality of 1Password, but it's free and I'm keeping all my passwords in one secure database. Since most of my passwords are windows-based apps - I think I'll drop the 1Password and use this method you describe here. Hopefully one day KeePassX will do auto-fill of usernames and passwords.

Re: My experiences with Ubuntu 8.10, part 2: Hangs, OpenOffice, Fonts, and more…

I get the hang on my Thinkpad T60 too. It's happened 3-4 times today already. It appears to be related to the desktop visual effects - I have now turned off the effects and have not had a hang for several hours.
Not so pretty though:-(

Re: My experiences with Ubuntu 8.10, part 2: Hangs, OpenOffice, Fonts, and more…

you can also install Inconsolata via repositories, just search for ttf- and you'll see Inconsolata font.. bamo

Re: My experiences with Ubuntu 8.10, part 2: Hangs, OpenOffice, Fonts, and more…

I can confirm the hangup - I get exactly the same symptoms on my Thinkpad T60 - it never happened previously.

Re: My experiences with Ubuntu 8.10, part 2: Hangs, OpenOffice, Fonts, and more…

How can it bundle Open Office 2.4 ?
I heard 3.0 version was going to be the default installed version...

Re: My experiences with Ubuntu 8.10, part 2: Hangs, OpenOffice, Fonts, and more…

Interpid Ibix is not a good release.

It will automatically noot boot up if I have anything puggled into my Silicon Image controller on my Abit AB9 Pro.
